Starting new tmux session in native tab unexpectedly resizes window
Apologies if this is a duplicate – I searched carefully but couldn't find any existing issues that describe the behavior I'm seeing.
- iTerm2 version: 3.1.5
- OS version: 10.13.3
- Tmux version: 2.6
- com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
- debuglog.txt
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Set Preferences -> tmux Integration -> "Open tmux windows as tabs in existing window"
- Open an iTerm2 window and resize it to something other than the default size
- Run
tmux -CC new-session
ortmux -CC attach
to an existing session
What happened:
The tmux session opens in a tab in the existing window as expected. However, the window is resized to the "New Window" size defined in the tmux profile.
What should have happened:
The tmux session should be resized to the window size, rather than resizing the window. In the case where a tmux session already existed, connected clients will see their session set to the new size (which is jarring if the original window sizes matched).
