Long multi-line paste data is corrupted
- iTerm2 version: 3.1.5
- OS version: macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.3 (17D47)
- Attach ~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist: com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
- Attach a debug log, if possible. debuglog.txt [non-reproducing: see below]
- Are you reporting a performance issue or a hang? No
- Are you reporting a crash? No
Miscellaneous notes:
- Problem does not manifest when debug logging is enabled.
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Open a relatively long multi-line file (e.g. names.txt) in your preferred text editor
- Copy it in its entirety
- Paste it into iterm2 (prefix with e.g.
echo "
to avoid actually executing anything) - Observe what actually gets pasted
What happened:
The contents of the clipboard are pasted in a corrupted manner. The actual result of the paste is non-deterministic, but an example is included here: paste_result.txt.
What should have happened:
The contents of the clipboard is be pasted into iTerm2.
