Detailed steps to reproduce the problem:
- Copy text of several lines from emacs which contain some leading tabs
- Paste into iterm2. Select the option to preserve the tabs when prompted.
What happened: Here is a simulation of what I see. Input text is:
line 1 \tline 2 hello \tline 3 world
What I see pasted is:
line 1 2 hello 3 world
What should have happened:
I would expect the input to be reproduced. Note pasting with spaces replacing tabs works fine.
This behavior appeared with the last upgrade, to 3.0.15.
