First character type broadcasted to another terminal in another workspace

What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Open an iTerm2 window in space 1
- Open an iTerm2 window in space 2
- In space 1 type anything ('this is a test') for example, press return
- Bind ctrl+Left arrow and ctrl+Right arrow to move to the prev, next (respectively) space
- Move to space 2 from space 1
- Type "this is a test" <CR>
- Move to space 1 from space 2
- There should be a 't' in your iTerm2 window.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be able to switch spaces using a keyboard shortcut without polluting the input of a second iTerm2 window. Instead, the input from one window pollutes the input from another.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iTerm2 Build 1.0.0.20130624
OS X 10.8.4
