tmux integration chokes on UTF8 characters
By kmur...@etsy.com on March 07, 2013 22:10 (imported from Google Code)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- set PS1 to contain an extended UTF-8 character, i.e. in .bashrc:
export PS1=┐ - start tmux with iterm integration:
tmux -C - Dialog pops up with "a tmux protocol error occurred"
Reason: Non-UTF-8 command in stream (please copy hex data from Console.app into a bug report)
Hex data from console:
3/7/13 2:05:20.504 PM iTerm[60865]: Non-UTF-8 command in stream <3c302c38 2c382c38 3ec05b65 32393439 305d0d>
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to get a tmux'd shell in a new window.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Build 1.0.0.20130302 on OSX 1.8.2
Remote side is Linux, CentOS 6.2 with latest tmux with iterm integration
