Output flood blocks input

Almost all issues are configuration-specific. Issues missing this file will
be closed.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- SSH to Linux machine and run "yes". This floods the terminal.
- Sending ^C has no effect.
- Solution: send ^C then minimize and re-maximizing iTerm2.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
^C should be sent without need to minimize iTerm2.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
