Feature Request: Undo functionality

Essentially, would like an "Undo" menu option as a feature request.
I accidentally pasted a HUGE chunk of text into iTerm and since there is no "Undo" feature, I had to take the time to excise that which I had pasted manually. Would be nice to have "Undo" so in the event that something like this happens, I just hit ⌘-z to undo the accident.
It could also be used to undo any arbitrary character entry. Simply maintain a buffer in memory of any characters pressed and ⌘-z could undo them. You could clear the buffer when a user hits the enter key or something because it would signify that they have entered a command. However, this may conflict with terminal paradigms so users may not want this additional feature. Maybe have it as a Preference though? I don't know if this is necessarily possible/useful, but the undo for pasting text would be extremely useful.
