double-click + drag select loses start position
By wfa... on September 26, 2010 16:40 (imported from Google Code)
Double-clicking a word selects the whole word. Dragging from that point continues selection. If the mouse pointer enters the line above when dragging to the right, or the line below when dragging to the left, and then reenters the original line, the start point becomes incorrect. In the former example, it seems to remap the beginning of the selection to the end of the original double-click selection. In the latter, it seems to add an additional character to the end of the selection past the original double-click selection.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Open an iTerm and populate it with some text.
- Double-click a word and drag mouse pointer to the right.
- Move mouse pointer down one line, then back up to the original line.
What is the expected output?
Original word selected, plus words past that point.
What do you see instead?
Words after the original word selected.
