Add an option to filter/replace UTF8 non-breaking space with a normal space

Hello,
Is it possible to add an option to replace on the fly
UTF8 non-breaking space (0xC2 : <ALT>+ <Space>)
with a normal space (0x20 : <Space>) ?
Step to reproduce :
- Configure iterm2 to be in UTF8 (the default)
- Connect on a server like a Linux Debian Squeeze
- vim test.txt
- :set encoding
- Verify the encoding is encoding=utf-8 (Default on Squeeze)
- <ALT>+<SPACE>
- :wq
- Configure iterm2 to be in Western (ISO Latin 9)
- vim test.txt
- You will see  (strange A instead of Non-breaking space)
Of course this is normal as this UTF8 character cannot be displayed correctly on Latin 9
but from time to time after typing "#" (<ALT>+<3> on QWERTZ Swiss French keyboard)
I continue pressing <ALT> while pressing space <Space> and I have an "invisible"
(for me on UTF8) non-breaking space but my colleagues (using ISO Latin 9 on Kitty/Putty)
don't see the non-breaking space but Â.
As a workaround I created <ALT>Space Key Combination and Asction Send: " "
Thank you in advance
