Scrollback buffer isn't retained for output of Debian `apt` command
- iTerm2 version: 3.5.0beta21
- OS version: 14.3.1 (23D60)
- com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
Steps to reproduce the problem:
- Using iTerm2,
ssh
to a recent Debian system - Run an
apt
command that installs/updates packages — e.g.apt reinstall php8.3-bcmath php8.3-cli php8.3-common php8.3-fpm php8.3-gd php8.3-intl php8.3-mbstring php8.3-mysql php8.3-opcache php8.3-readline php8.3-xml
What happened: as the log output scrolls by, the scrollback buffer is not retained — so, if there were errors/warnings when installing packages, there isn't a straightforward way to find out what those errors/warnings were.
What should have happened: I'd like for the scrollback buffer to be retained (like macOS Terminal.app does), so I can see the errors/warnings.
