Block keyboard. Prevent accidental CRTL-C

Summary
I normally run some simulations that takes a lot of time to complete (10/20 hour). I want my iTerm2 to remain open to check from time to time that it is running smoothly.
It happened to me some times that while working on other tasks, I accidentally hit CTRL-C on iTerm2 and the process finished. It would be great to have an easy to access button or option to freeze the terminal session to not allow keys.
That simulations run on quite expensive AWS instances and you can imagine how painfull that keystrokes are...
