When use dropdown mode, keyboard layout does not change
Bug report
Thanks for filing an issue! Please answer the questions below so I can help you.
- iTerm2 version: 3.5.0b10 and 3.4.19
- OS version: macos ventura 13.4
- Attach
~/Library/Preferences/com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
here (drag-drop from finder into this window) - Attach a debug log, if possible.
- Attach a screen capture video if it would make the reproduction steps clearer.
PLEASE ATTACH YOUR PLIST FILE FOR BUG REPORTS! Seriously! I'll probably ask you for it if you don’t.
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem
- com.googlecode.iterm2.plist
- Enable hotkey to show/hide iterm2 by the specific key
- Mac Settings -> Keyboard -> Input Sources (I have several languages/sources) -> Edit -> Automatically switch to document's input source - checked
What happened
I choose an input source for a window (to non default one) then press terminal hotkey and input source remains the same
What should have happened
I expect when I call terminal using hotkey - input source should have been changed to a default one, and if changed when iterm2 is in focus it remembers by macos, so then when I again call iterm2 input source changes to that that was remembered. It looks like for now iterm2 (under hotkey mode) behaves as a non-standard window.
