Detailed steps to reproduce the problem
Certain CLI apps (e.g. node jest
) seem to emit transparent text. That is, the official text color is bright (the default color), but you end up with very faded text because it's blended onto the background. Adjusting the "Minimum Contrast" slider has no effect on this.
This is very frustrating because such text can become unreadable in a high-glare environment.
At the very least the minimum contrast slider should be respected here. Though what would actually be ideal is a way to override or gamma-correct the transparency effect so that e.g. 50% opaque becomes closer to 75%. This would be a sane default for a dark-mode theme.
What happened
Text became unreadable.
What should have happened
Text should remain readable. Text opacity should be gamma-corrected, factoring in the background color (dark vs light).
