NerdFont glyphs well shown in Terminal app, but not in iTerm
Bug report
Context:
- iTerm2 version: 3.4.19
- OS version: 12.6.5
- iTerm
.plist
file: com.googlecode.iterm2.plist - Log file: debuglog.txt.zip
Font used: Fantasque Sans Mono Nerd Font Mono
Nerd Font glyphs are typically well handled by iTerm, but the audio icon in particular of that font is the only one I have issue with.
I also ticked the ‘Use built-in Powerline glyphs’ option. The issue is still there without that option enabled.
Audio icon well shown in Terminal app:
Same icon not shown in iTerm:
Detailed steps to reproduce the problem
- In macOS Terminal app, use exa to list an audio file, e.g.:
exa -1 --icons
- In iTerm, use exa again to list an audio file.
- See how well the audio icon is shown in both terminals
What happened
A question mark is shown on iTerm.
What should have happened
A audio icon should be shown.
