Duo Chat Bash 9/14/23 Guidelines and Instructions

📐 Bash Guidelines

Objective: The primary objective of the bash is to measure chat quality and to identify and report software bugs to improve the experience of using Duo Chat.

Scope: The bash will focus on any and all aspects of the experience of using Duo Chat.

Reporting Format: When reporting an interaction, please include the following details:

  • Your query: Provide the text you asked Duo.
  • Duo's response: Provide the text of the response Duo generated for you.
  • Ratings of interaction: Complete the five rating scale questions of your interaction.
  • Screenshots: Include a screenshot of your browser when you asked the question to give us an idea of your overall context.

Collaboration: Use the dedicated Slack channel bash slack channel to discuss bugs, seek clarifications, and share insights.

Triage Sessions: Regular bug triage sessions will be scheduled during the bug bash to evaluate and prioritize reported issues. All participants are welcome to attend and contribute.

Timeline: The bash pilot will take place on Thursday September 14. Please make sure to report all interactions with Duo Chat within this timeframe.

👷 How to Participate

To participate in the bug bash, please follow these steps:

  1. Use Duo Chat: Pay attention to quality, functionality, user interface, performance, and any other relevant areas.

    • If you have used Duo Chat before, please first enter /reset in the chat window.
  2. Report Your Interactions : Create a new entry using the report template here and provide all necessary details for every question you ask Duo.
  3. Follow Up: Once you've reported an interaction, keep an eye on the issue for any updates, feedback, or requests for additional information.
