Receive additional params in ".parse" and ".output"

Allow to pass days_per_month, hours_per_day as part of opts={} for .parse and .output.

I decided not to change spec format (e.g. using should) under this MR, for compatibility with other examples in the file.
I also didn't refactor existing code, the idea was to keep the diff as small as possible.
