Update rewrite rules to support GDK private IP setup
This fixes the setup instructions if someone is running GDK on private IP like 172.168.123.1
. This is desirable as mentioned in the GDK configuration here
Some functionality may not work if GDK processes listen on localhost or 127.0.0.1 (for example, services running under Docker). Therefore, an IP address on a different private network should be used.
For reference, my relevant GDK config is
---
gitlab:
rails:
hostname: gdk.test
hostname: gdk.test
listen_address: "172.16.123.1"
gitlab_k8s_agent:
enabled: true
nginx:
enabled: true
http:
enabled: true
# ssl:
# certificate: gdk.test.pem
# key: gdk.test-key.pem
For auth-proxy to work, we need to ensure nginx
is enabled.
