Tracking of release data data for monthly releases, release candidates, patch releases, and auto-deployments

This builds on the changes introduced in !960 (merged), and implements the necessary changes to track release metadata for all release types. This requires a bit of refactoring on top of the mentioned MR, and while the code is not particularly pretty, it's the best we can do at this time.
