Feature request: Add sort option for results tables
We document
If the failures are substantial (e.g. over 50% of the threshold) this would suggest an environment or product issue and further investigation …
But the results are sorted alphabetically by TEST NAME
, which makes it hard to find those "substantial" problems. Can we add a --sort=
or --only-failed
flag to help focus the output to what users consider most interesting? For sorting, each of the existing columns could be useful, plus an absolute or percentage difference to the threshold. I'm looking at this with fast-stats top --sort=… in mind, mostly.
With the .csv
output, customers can compute and sort manually, but since essentially all customers have to do that to follow our guidance on evaluating the results, we should maybe pre-arrange for that to be done. Sorting by name when it's really needed is always easiest.
