Update to Go 1.17.5 and golangci-lint 1.43.0

Pedro Pombeiro (OOO from July 16th till Aug 7th) requested to merge pedropombeiro/golanglint-ci-update into master

In the interest of not staying too far behind in terms of tooling, let's update the targetted golangci-lint version to v1.43.0 and also Go version (1.17.5).
