Remove tracing from model and projects helper

What does this MR do and why?

Part 1 was merged - !90567 (merged)

This MR further deleted code related to tracing in a safe manner, removed just enough code for the pipeline to be green and keep relevant code without breaking anything.

Any other usage and occurrence of tracing will be removed in further MRs.
