Omit trailing slash when checking allowed requests in the read-only middleware [RUN ALL RSPEC]

What does this MR do?

In !61638 (merged), we restored the behavior and omitted the trailing slash when proxying pre-authorized routes with no suffix.

These changes add an extra layer of safety and omit the trailing slash on the read-only middleware.
