Render the DAP Impact users by activity panel as a table
What does this MR do and why?
Renders the Users by activity GLQL panel as a table instead of a
horizontal bar chart. The panel sits on the Adoption view of the DAP
Impact dashboard.
The flowType dimension becomes an Activity column. The
usersCount metric becomes a Users column. The sort flips from
ascending to descending, since a bar chart puts its first row at the
bottom but a table reads top down. Descending order now puts the
most-used activity first.
Related to https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/work_items/628026, which asks for a Users by activity visualization on the Adoption tab. A table is one of the design options the issue offers.
The demo integration MR also enabled a trend column on this panel. That needs a GLQL feature that is still in review, so it is left for a follow-up. See References below.

How to set up and validate locally
- Enable ClickHouse for analytics in your GDK.
- Seed AI usage data for a few projects that share one group and have members. Run this once per project:
FILTER=ai_usage_stats PROJECT_ID=<id> SEED_AI_USAGE_STATS=1 bundle exec rake db:seed_fu - Check out this branch and run
gdk restart rails-web. The system dashboard YAML is read once per process and cached, so a restart is needed. - Visit
/explore/analytics_dashboards/dap_impact, choose the seeded group in the Scope picker, and open the Adoption tab. - Confirm the
Users by activitypanel is a table with anActivitycolumn and aUserscolumn, sorted by users descending.
