What does this MR do and why?

Remove stray wait_for_requests.

This file had a real wait_for_requests fix/removal made recently in 83fed592 (Fix flaky commit comment task list spec (!251596 - merged)); this last one though is pure cruft, there's a waiting assertion right after!
