Add docs for testing import project
While I was working on Import/Export, I couldn't find information in documentation or in one place, how to properly test Project Import. I found useful info only on Performance data project, but I couldn't find similar info in docs.gitlab.com.
I added docs for testing import project that lists various ways how to import project:
- Using UI
- Using performance script
- Using Rake Import task
- Using Rails console I also copied some existing info from https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/quality/performance/blob/master/docs/environment_prep.md, since it's not included in docs.gitlab.com
Since we are currently working in some import optimization short term improvements &1810 (closed), we need standardized way how to measure those improvements, and do the performance testing.
I created a script for measuring performance improvements and used it to test (21853)[!21853 (comment 262272272)]. Script can be found (here)[!21853 (comment 262272272)] and I also included this in documentation as proposed way, in order to have standardized tool to measure our improvements.
