Fix group search in groups dropdown

What does this MR do?

This MR fixes the group search (in the navbar). When searching, the code handling the response group array (JS) is silently failing and not showing relevant results.

When searching for groups, the results can be "misleading" because it actually highlights items from the frequently visited group list.
