How to set up and validate locally

Numbered steps to set up and validate the change are strongly suggested.

  1. Make sure you have elasticsearch enabled.
  2. Go to a project and create a new file in any language and add some random code.
  3. In rails console run ::Projects::DetectRepositoryLanguagesService.new(Project.find(project_id)).execute where project_id is the project id of above project where you added random code.
  4. Verify in elastisearch you will have the new language added under repository_languages
