Workaround a segfault due to array GC bug

What does this MR do and why?

by converting to array explicitly, we prevent this array based on protobuf repeated fields to be garbage collected accidentally.

This bug is fixed in https://bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/18140, but not backported to Ruby 2.7
