Failed to sign into GitLab error after approving oauth for SM GitLab for Jira Cloud app
Summary
Steps to reproduce
- On Chrome, follow the steps for Install GitLab for Jira app from Marketplace (Note: We tested using GitLab v17.1.5 and v18.1.)
- After the Oauth pop up, we get
"Failed to sign in to GitLab."
error. - On the console we see the following:
Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'https://<SM-GL-URL>/oauth/token' from origin 'https://gitlab.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: Response to preflight request doesn't pass access control check: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource.
Workaround
Working fine on Firefox.
