Spawned from Use ApplicationSettings::UpdateService for jsonb column, but turns out it requires a more broad approach to tackle the problem there. I wonder whether an initiative exists to tackle something like that.

More specifically about the ApplicationSetting model, AFAICS, it became a quite big one over time. Wouldn’t it be feasible to refactor it in a way that it would have a small core functionality that could be augmented by stage groups owned settings?
