Proposal

Consider having a dedicated area in the content editor for GitLab Duo actions. This means moving it away from the toolbar.

Did you explore any approaches where the 'write with Duo' action was more exposed?

One solution could be using the bottom area as a launch area for GitLab Duo related actions. Inspired by comments #462225[prompt_generation.png] (comment 2440588509) #462225 (comment 2440675537)

Design goals

1. Allow users to edit generated content while generating with GitLab Duo. Comment
2. Move accept/reject actions closer to generated content Comment
3. A new "mode" that allows the user to leverage GitLab Duo Comment

Questions

1. How would this work in plain text mode?
   • Currently plain text mode has the text in a <textarea> element, if we want to add more functionality on top of this, are there technical considerations to be made?
2. How could we make it clear that you are currently working in co-operation with GitLab Duo?
