Adapt Organization settings page to be more compliant with design guidelines
Problem
We want to ensure the Organization settings functions as desired.
Proposal
-
Perform a design review of the Organization settings. -
Document any findings (bugs, enhancements) for future improvements.
Findings (In progress)
| Description | Image | Thread | Severity |
|---|---|---|---|
| When creating a new organization the placeholder text is "My Organization" but when creating a new group or project we say "My awesome group" or "My awesome project" | ![]() |
Link | Low |
| The organization settings page does not include a link to the organization docs, but we do include a similar link on the group settings and when creating a new organization. | ![]() |
Link | Low |
| The project and group settings include search functionality at the top of the page, but the organization settings do not. | ![]() |
Link | Low |
| The change organization URL includes a warning that this may have unintended effects, but does not include more details or a link to learn more like is displayed for changing a group or project URL. | ![]() |
Link | Low |
| The advanced settings subtitle references "deleting an organization" but that option isn't available. |

| The change organization URL disables the submit button by default. Our guidelines are to avoid using a disabled button as a method for form validation. Instead follow the example of groups and projects and enable the button by default. | ![]() |
Link | Medium |
