Description: The users expressed significant discontent regarding the GitLab Duo Chat Modal, citing issues with its dimensions, positioning, and lack of adaptability. The system's code display functionality was deemed unsatisfactory, as it lacked coherence and intuitive design, leading to a disjointed user experience within the conversation interface.
Use Case: The user desires the ability to adjust the dimensions of the Duo Chat window, enabling them to simultaneously access and interact with issues and repositories without the need to repeatedly close the UI Modal when attempting to access content located beneath it. Additionally, they seek the flexibility to dynamically resize the window, toggle its visibility, or reposition it within the GitLab web interface according to their preferences and workflow requirements.
Value Added: GitLab Duo can be effortlessly integrated into any active customer workflow, allowing conversations to span a significant portion of the process. By serving as a companion rather than a distraction or annoyance, GitLab Duo Chat enhances the user experience without disrupting their focus.
Proposed Solution (if any): Have GitLab Duo Chat be accessible similar as in the VS Code Extension.
Impact on Work: The current implementation of GitLab Duo within the GitLab user interface is difficult to use effectively, making it nearly impractical for most users.
Priority: Indicate how urgent this feedback is from the customer's perspective.
