Documentation for external participants
We are finishing work in multiple external participants and should add documentation for this feature.
We can already publish the documentation and add the feature flag hint to it.
We also know that some customers are already exploring the feature, but it's not documented anywhere.
Feature context
The external participants feature allows to add email participants to an issue. This is most useful for Service Desk issues, but also works for regular issues and probably all work item types in the future (where it makes sense).
External participants receive Service Desk emails for all comments on the issue (except internal comments) and can reply to the email. Replies create a comment on the issue. So external participants are part of the conversation using only email.
They can unsubscribe themselves from the issue anytime using the unsubscribe link in the email (if provided from the project owners).
Users can use the /invite_email user@example.com
and /remove_email user@example.com
quick actions to manage external participants on an issue.
There is a limit of 10 external participants per issue right now.
