馃帹 Design: MVC organization groups and projects page
Problem
As part of 馃帹 Design: Navigating within organizations (#396719 - closed), we decided there would be a page for viewing and managing groups and projects within organizations. What should this look like?
Design
The proposal is to combine the group, project list pages into a single list page. For the MVC, people can search and switch between displaying groups or projects using a dropdown.
Groups view | Projects view | List actions | Sub-group display |
---|---|---|---|
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
![]() |
Longer-term, the idea would be to add a "groups and projects" view into this page, so users can see how the groups and projects are nested together. This is outside of the scope of the MVC though, and the design for this piece is still TBC. Also TBC is whether or not users would want to manage groups and projects from within the combined view. First sketch for how this could look:
Version A | Version B |
---|---|
![]() |
![]() |
Note: the current group and project list views are pretty different in terms of styling. The proposal shown follows the project styling, with the larger avatar and the description.
