GitLab should not require an email address to download self-hosted version

The stewardship document states that "The product will be available for download without leaving an email address or logging in," however it appears the "Try GitLab for FREE" link on the front page of about.gitlab.com requires an email address to continue to download the self-managed version of GitLab.

To abide by the intention of the stewardship document, could there be a message added linking to the free version from the free trial page?

Update

1. The Install GitLab link is now available in the header for https://about.gitlab.com/
2. The Get free trial and Start a free trial links require an email address for the trial license, not the download.

Consideration was given to changing the /free-trial page #38559 (comment 257752474)
