Problem to solve

Pipeline names are being added as part of #372538 (closed). An important use of the pipeline name will be the ability to search/filter pipelines by name.

This issue is for designing a solution to allow pipelines to be filtered/searched by name on the pipeline list page.

Proposal

  1. Add a new filter option Pipeline name

  1. Present the names available in a dropdown when the filter is selected. We're not adding a search until we get compelling use-cases that it is needed, since elastic search uses a lot of memory.

  1. Do we need a search in the dropdown to select name?
    • Based on internal discussion we will see what use cases users come back with to validate how we allow search of pipeline names. - 2022-12-13
      • Veethika: We don't have to show the search in the dropdown for the first iteration. It can be a simple list of names to select from.
