Streaming audit events custom header variable - audit event name
Release notes
Problem to solve
Users need to provide specific values in the custom headers for streaming audit events when they send them to a destination. Sometimes this value needs to be event dependent, such as the event name, rather than something that can be hardcoded.
Proposal
Allow users to send the value of the event name as part of a custom header
- Suggestion: Use a variable-like syntax in the custom header value field to indicate this. This could be
$EVENT_NAME
or similar.- If we use a variable-like syntax, provide guidance on how to escape characters if a user wanted to send an actual value of
$EVENT_NAME
or similar.
