Scroll to MR tab's content when a tab is clicked
Problem to solve
Usually, if an MR has a lot of information (description, activity, etc.) it all pushes the tabs (Discussion
, Commits
, Changes
) to under the first screen (standard 2880 x 1800 laptop screen). It might be helpful to scroll down to a tab's content part whenever one of those is clicked just to save user a couple of scrolls that is especially useful for "Changes" tab with a lot of content in it.
Target audience
I think this makes the process of reviewing an MR friendlier to anybody involved in the process but (Delaney)[https://design.gitlab.com/research/personas#persona-delaney] and (Sasha)[https://design.gitlab.com/research/personas#persona-sasha] personas would benefit the most I guess since:
- Delaney would get fewer complaints from developers on his team
- Sasha, as the person responsible for reviewing
Proposal
Whenever a tab is clicked, the screen scrolls
so that the tabs are along the top border of the available screen estate with content of an active tab right beneath them. See the screenshot below
