CI/CD Charts for a Specific Branch
Problem to solve
The charts in Gitlab CI/CD are very useful, but sometimes provide inaccurate evidence of the health of the software.
As an example, if developers are using CI/CD to run against branches, the charts will show those failures in them, which doesn't necessarily reflect the health of the trunk or release branches.
Further details
In some cases, management uses the charts as a quick way to know the health of the software and also to relay that information to customers. If they see a lot of 'grey' in the charts it can be concerning to them. Goal of this modification is to use the charts as a way to determine the health of the trunk software, or a specific branch (release branches, etc).
Proposal
It would be great if we could customize what data was being shown in the charts or perhaps have a pull down menu to select a specific branch to show the data for. Currently, the charts always show all the runs for all branches.
What does success look like, and how can we measure that?
The ability to customize what data is shown on the charts tab.
