Improve user experience during Kubernetes cluster creation
Background:
First of all, I've ended up with a research proposal because I don't feel this as an issue, I think it's more like a hypothesis on my side. So maybe more users encountered this, I'd nice to improve it somehow if the problem exists generally.
As a user for me a bit hard to follow the status of Kubernetes cluster creation on GCP. Would be nice to have it more interactive or at least highlight the status message because it can take a while and more times I felt it stuck. With that, I think I could be more patient and focus on the next steps.
It looks like this right now.
More times happened I missed the static blue status message and somehow I thought I have to click on the Save changes button. After I clicked I got the following message:
It seems like a bug for me, so why there is an active button if it leads me to an error anyway.
What questions are you trying to answer? Would be great to discover how other people behave on the page and validate the flow is right.
Are you looking to verify an existing hypothesis or uncover new issues you should be exploring? It's just my assumption as a user.
What does success look like at the end of the project?
A much smoother experience during creating a Kubernetes cluster on GCP. I guess I can say the success could be measured with a higher conversion. With conversion I mean, at the end successfully run Gitlab runner task on K8s out of who started to create a Kubernetes cluster.
