Help page is confusing regarding version and tier for on-prem and GitLab.com

Regarding /help page

For on-prem installs

  • For CE, this is clear.
  • For EE, we should indicate the license somehow, or some other clarifications to indicate which version, i.e.: EES or EEP.

For GitLab.com

  • This page is available even if you are not logged in: https://gitlab.com/help.
  • It is confusing because it shows "Enterprise Edition".
  • Users can be on Free / Premium / Ultimate (and former-Silver) plans. But because it just says "Enterprise Edition" for all these cases, it is confusing, for example in this comment: #149 (comment 28423932):

When i go to https://gitlab.com/help i can see i am on GitLab Enterprise Edition 9.1.1-ee 43c23ff4. But from this site https://about.gitlab.com/gitlab-com/ i would derive i should be on EES. How can i get info on this?

/help should say that the Edition you see is related to the software distribution and not the tier you're in. For that, you should go to your profile #247920 (closed).
