Ability to schedule Handbook changes
Problem to solve
All CMSes I have used have the ability to schedule posts so you can "set it and forget it". We are currently unable to schedule blog posts to publish at a particular date and time, so someone always has to press the merge button on the day. This is inconvenient for when people take time off or over the holidays, and at any time we have a post ready in advance, because there is a final, manual step on the day.
We are able to future-date the blog post file, so that if it is merged ahead of time, in theory as soon as someone triggers a pipeline on master on that date, the post will go live, but this is not specific enough for us to use for publishing time-sensitive posts. There is also the risk that if something goes wrong with pipelines/merge trains/etc, if the blog post MR was already merged, there is no way of flagging/communicating that there was an issue with publishing the post at a later date.
Intended users
Editorial team members, however this would also be useful for press releases and other time-sensitive website updates.
User experience goal
Users should be able to select a date and time for the blog post to be live at the point of merging.
