Docs feedback: Update labels page to include promoting a label to a top group
I'm a new program manager at GitLab and inherited a subgroup and defined labels and issue boards. I'm in the process of revamping the current infrastructure for my program, and realized that the labels I had in my subgroup were not being used by any other teams at GitLab. Since I'll be doing more cross-functional collaboration, I need the label available to everyone at GitLab and will be creating an issue board at the top level.
I was hoping that I could promote my label at the Community Relations level to the GitLab-com label, but it looks like that's not possible.
Does it make sense to update the labels doc page with a workaround, or do we not do that? I heard from at least two other GitLab team members that they would be interested in this topic / it would be relevant to them, so I figure that my workaround might help more people.
Here is a link to the issue where I was trying to promote the issue to the top: https://gitlab.com/gitlab-com/marketing/community-relations/opensource-program/general/-/issues/26
Here is the page that might need an update: https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/project/labels.html#promote-a-project-label-to-a-group-label
If documenting a workaround isn't appropriate, is there somewhere else I should add it? For example, in our Discourse instance?
Tagging @msedlakjakubowski because I think this is part of the Plan phase, but please let me know if there's someone else more appropriate!
