Slack integration for Service Desk

Problem to solve

It would be beneficial to allow creation and updates to issues to take place within Slack.

Intended users

  • Parker (Product Manager)
  • Delaney (Development Team Lead)
  • IT Analyst

Further details

Many times, service request originate from a Slack conversation. It's common for an end user to ask a question that ends up being more complicated than expected and it becomes a request that should be tracked within a service desk workflow.

Proposal

Allow service desk issues to be created from Slack

Permissions and Security

All users in Slack should be able to create service desk request.
