Setting the approvers for a Merge Request to a group doesn't put the MR in their Todos
Summary
Working in an enterprise situation, we use Groups to not only group repositories but also to group our development teams. We use Merge Requests and Protected Branches to perform gated Code Review so that no unreviewed code makes it into our main development branch. When creating a Merge Request, we would use the Approvers group entry field to set our development team as the approvers for that Merge Request, which works wonders, but it does not put the Merge Request in those developers' Todos list.
Steps to reproduce
- Start a Merge Request on a project that requires approvals for merge requests
- Set the approvers to a group of users
- Create the Merge Request
Expected behavior
The members of the group to which the approvers has been set should see the Merge Request in their Todos list. This would be consistent with the observed behavior when setting the approvers to the individual people of the group.
Actual behavior
The members of the group do not see the Merge Request in their Todos list.
