Remove deprecation notice

What does this MR do?

This MR removes the mention that the register command is deprecated. It had been removed in !3742 (merged), but somehow got added back in ce297fbc. It also changes the wording in the warning so that it discusses a future deprecation, not an existing one.

Why was this MR needed?

This was causing confusion to users, see gitlab#391907
