Missing gitlab-runner command
Summary
I'm missing the gitlab-runner binary in the gitlab package (deb).
Steps to reproduce
Install the latest version of Gitlab-CE package on Ubuntu system (version 8.8.1).
sudo dpkg -i gitlab_x.x.x.deb
- Execute:
sudo gitlab-runner register
- Command is not found!
It's also not listed in: /opt/gitlab/bin folder.
Expected behavior
I would expect the gitlab-runner binary be part of the *.deb file. Listed in:
dpkg -c gitlab-ce_8.8.1-ce.0_amd64.deb
I would like to be able to execute: sudo gitlab-runner
.
UPDATE: gitlab-runner is part of the gitlab-ci-multi-runner. It would be nice if this is combined in 1 package (deb) or update the documentation.

Possible fix
Try to add the gitlab-runner as target to the deb file.
Work-around is to install a separate package gitlab-ci-multi-runner
