Getting Started
Installation
Follow this link to the plugin in the Figma plugin directory and install directly within Figma!
Creating a GitLab personal access token

Navigate to https://gitlab.com/-/user_settings/personal_access_tokens

Give your access token a name

Select the
api
scope under Scopes (see screenshot below) -
Click "Create personal access token"
Uploading a design from Figma
The GitLab Figma plugin allows you to upload Frames and Components from within Figma to a GitLab issue.

Open the plugin from the plugin from the menu: Plugins → GitLab → Upload Designs to GitLab

Enter your GitLab personal access token and click the "Save Token" button (How do I create an access token?). You'll only have to do this once, or whenever the access token expires or you delete the access token.

Copy and paste your GitLab.com issue URL into the input box

Select Figma Components and Frames (up to 10) to upload

Upload your selections by clicking "Upload". If your upload was successful, a notification bubble should appear.
Resetting the plugin
If you wish to remove your GitLab personal access token and reset the plugin to its default state, navigate to the "Reset to default" menu item:
Plugins → GitLab → Reset to default
