Pull the stable product branches when on a stable docs branch

Achilleas Pipinellis - OOO until November 25th (parental leave) requested to merge pull-stable-branches-when-on-stable-branch into master

This ensures that when on a docs stable-version branch, the respective product branches are set up correctly.
